Canon warranty transferable?

If I have registered the warranty online & I want to sell the lens to another person, can the warranty be transferred to that person?

Yes, it is possible to transfer. But if you are selling to stranger, you should do it on the spot else they can access your personal information.

Best if you can change the personal details prior to the transfer if possible because when I sent an equipment for servicing, the full address and contacts of the prior owner was reflected in the invoice.

No, read the Terms and Conditions of Canon. Warranty is not transferable.
However, Canon does not enforce this and the Service Center will only check the general warranty status and the receipt. So the new owner can change personal data accordingly.
