Hi guys I need some help here. I'm a newbie and I own Canon 300D. My question is, will there be a problem (i'm a noob when it comes to lens) if I buy Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II and use it on my camera? I mean 300D is an old model so I just wonder if the lens is compatible for the camera itself.

Cheers

How about checking Canon lens compatibility chart? Hint: the 50mm is called EF lens, your camera has an EF mount.

Coolness! Thx

My first SLR was a 2nd-hand 300D and the first lens I ever bought was the 50mm f/1.8. Both of them totally work. But take care not to shoot wide open at f/1.8 at close range with overzealousness because just a slight movement and the pin-sized focus and paper-thin DOF will be shifted.
