The Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM is on track to ship next month in North America, says Chuck Westfall, Director of Media and Customer Relationship at Canon USA. A notice appeared this week on Canon's website for the Japanese home market, stating that the lens' release has been pushed back to mid-January 2007. But this announcement doesn't reflect a global change in its delivery schedule, says Westfall.
