can W/B be compensated by PS?

yes. I usually use Levels to do it. Might not be 100% effective, perhaps changing colour balance helps too.

If you have PS7, Image->Auto Colors does a very, very, very good job.

If you want to alter it slightly.
The variations tool does it well when set to fine.

Auto colours usually ends up too cool for my taste though.

yup! check out some of my shots in here, the 2nd n 3rd shots i used Auto Color and the orange cast gone! though some of the pics it dun turn out well that i was forced to use custom colour balance.

By right, if you want to publish them (and I think posting on the web is probably considered publishing), then you are supposed to get them to sign a model release form.
