Can V1 use other brand external flash?

Nope, but I don't remember any Sony camera having TTL with external flash in the first place...

Sony F32X flash is built for V1.
Saw some posting F32X works well with V1.
Can select all the mode. (Auto A, Auto B and manual)
Only Auto B and munual works with my F717.

yes the sony 32something flash will have ttl only with v1.

other than that any other flash will work with the v1... but with regard to ttl or not i'm not sure..

yes the sony 32something flash doesn't have ttl with 717... nothing has ttl with 717 except the metz and promaster modules... but they're not really ttl...

if you want true ttl.. gotta get an SLR.

btw f55user.. i think i'm gonna get the 44mz2.. lol yes without the module.. i'll just set everything by hand..
