Buying 35mm f1.8 from amazon - warranty issues?

Hi,

Just like to check if i get the lens from amazon and get a friend to bring back for me, the warranty is valid in Singapore right? As long as i show the online receipt and keep the yellow portion of the warranty card ?

The lens is only sold for $199 usd free shipping so i am going to get a friend to buy for me and bring it back from usa. About $280 SGD only.

i think lense warranties are worldwide, unlike bodies.. not very sure also, never had felt safe getting things outside like amazon, alan foto selling at 320, but out of stock i think. 40$ difference...

the demand is still very high right now, maybe better luck next year in finding stocks...so for the moment, i carry on playing with my lx3.

I bought mine at midvalley mega mall, KL. The damaged is about $340 at current coversion rate $1 to RM2.40, paid cash.:thumbsup:

Lens warranty are worldwide if you have the receipt & yellow card. Verified with NSC earlier this year...
