Butterfly close ups

Have always tried to do a close up on butterflies but to no avail. Tried again yesterday and I think I did fairly well this time. So here are my humble takes:

where did you snap the butterfly? I saw alot of this species at Hortpark today.

Nice shot on #1 though a little noisy. #2 & #3 bg is distracting with the plant in the middle of the frame & cutting thru the butt's wings.

Point noted with a thanks. I'm so tempted to clone off the background but I guess I'll go there and try again. Not against cloning, just try not to be complacent and mind the surrounding more.
