I am looking for a book on CS3. I have narrowed my choices to two books. They are,

Photoshop CS3 Workflow: The Digital Photographer's Guide
http://www.amazon.com/Photoshop-CS3-Workflow-Digital-Photographers/dp/0470119411

and

The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers
http://www.amazon.com/Photoshop-Dig...ces-Matter/dp/0321501918/ref=pd_sim_b_title_2

Ignoring cost and availability, which one do you guys recommend?

I've not seen both books, but the first one seems to address features and techniques, kind like a begniier's guide to using CS3, where as the second covers topic specific tutorials.

Personally, I would go for the first as that would allow me to learn the foundations of the programme, and how to use it, then move on to books covering more advanced specifics.

Hmm...if you're ordering from Amazon, wanna share the shipping costs? Let's arrange via PM. ;)

Hmm... I won't be ordering from Amazon, should be getting from Kino.

Anyone else has experience with these two?

check out the books available at the library...

I have. But i would like one at home as a guide. And i do not live near a library. So ya.

I have Scott Kelby's book (your #2) one. I quite like the book. Easy to understand and he covers basic stuff in tutorials that you can follow either by downloading the pictures from his website or on your own photos.

I have not read the other book u were looking at, but if I were to just buy 1 CS3 book, I'll pick Scott Kelby's book.
(I don't earn commission from promoting his book, I just like it :))

I suggest you go Funan, to Riceball or the bookshop on 3/4th storey to get the books. They prob have better price than Kino
