The star designated HDE 226868 is an O type with apparent magnitude 9. It has a famous companion, Cygnus X-1, a black hole.

4 images stacked
All images taken at ISO 200, 4 minutes exposure, F4.
Camera used was a Canon 400D with 70-200F4L.

Simple in this case. Eta Cygnii is easy to find, it's a naked eye star. HDE226868 is just beside it. I just centered on Eta and photographed.
