The HN51 virus have hit Indonesia and this is not surprising. But why are they killing all the poor chickens? Do you think this method will erradicate the virus? It will only reduce the virus numbers in the short run.

What about the birds in the wild? They too are infected and spreading the deadly disease. How come no culling of wild birds?

not many people hunt the wild birds for food, even so at own risks, while farm birds are meant for human consumption, the responsibilities involved, the risks may be small for some, but the impact can be disastrous.
