10 May (Thu): Singapore Hornbill Project
----------------------------------------
NParks is collaborating with French researcher Marc Cremades, Avian
Department Jurong Bird Park and avid naturalist Prof Ng Soon Chye,
on a study of the Oriental Pied Hornbill in Pulau Ubin and Jurong
Bird Park. The study looks at the nesting habits and behaviours of
this locally endangered bird, in order to better understand the
factors affecting the success and failure of nesting.

This talk will cover some of their findings, observation Infanticide-
Cannibalism and presentations by two NTU students on their study of
the Oriental Pied Hornbill in the two different sites.

More about the Hornbill Project on the Ubin Tides, an e-newsletter
by Ubin NParks.
