Trying out taking photos of gun. I find that its quite hard taking this. Not sure how to compose it. Any pointers?

#3 is usually what show case inside the magazine. as for the rest, out of focus and does not bring out the plus point of those toy guns. Go thru your setup again and understand each lens minimun focus distance. With more pratices you soon will have the correct pic you looking for. PS: the camo background a bit distracting, try a clean setup :p Happy shooting

ohh number 3 mag cannot be removed cause its a replica only. if im right. i have one of those too.

Look through some magazines and see how publishers are doing it?

Oh, maybe use a smaller aperture? In the first couple of photos, the DOF seems pretty thin.
