The Bersih 3.0 sit-in demonstration set to be held this coming Saturday is set to be the largest gathering in history with more than 70 locations involved.

According to Datuk S Ambiga, the co-chair of Bersih, it could well be the largest demonstration ever held in the world and the first if it succeeds with 70 locations and 52 countries involved simultaneously. She said that Bersih 3.0 will be bigger than the previous demonstration which saw some 30 locations involved. She expects some 500,000 people who will be coming out in numbers to protest for fair and free elections.

8 locations in Malaysia will be holding the demonstration and that includes Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Sibu, Miri, Melaka, Johor Bahru, Ipoh and Pulau Pinang.

Meanwhile, Malaysians are expected to demonstrate peacefully at locations overseas that include Singapure, Hong Kong, Jepun (Osaka, Tokyo), Austria (Graz), Australia (Brisbane, Canberra,Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Hobart), the United States (Houston,Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, San Francisco, New York City, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Portland, Columbus, Wichita Kansas, Ames, Iowa), Canada (Toronto, Montreal), New Zealand (Auckland,Wellington, Motueka), Taiwan (Taipei, Tainan), United Kingdom (London, Edinburgh, Scotland, Newcastle), Ireland (Dublin, Sligo), Switzerland (Zurich, Geneva), Sweden (Uppsala, Mälmo), Jerman (Koeln/Bonn, Berlin), China (Shanghai, Beijing), France (Paris), Thailand (Bangkok), Korea (Seoul, Busan), Finland (Helsinki), Russia (Moscow), Jordan (Amman, Mafraq, Irbid, Mu’tah), Bangladesh (Dhaka), Netherlands (The Hague), Indonesia (Bali) and South Africa (Cape Town).

Some of you might get fired up to do photo journalism but i do not recommend as this is more on the heavy stuff and the people who do this usually know what to do when things go very very wrong.
 

Permit for Bersih 3.0 in Singapore got rejected. So nothing here... Bersih 2.0 was held previously thou.
 

Don't go. Can be misunderstood as interference into internal affairs of another country if you are arrested in the middle of the protesters.
 

People should really wear colours that match their skin tone season. :bsmilie:
 

if u must go, don't wear White. you might be mistaken to be from some an unfriendly neighboring country ;-(

There's a reason why protesters go about wearing wet bandanas soaked with citric acid short of a gas mask during sit-ins such as this.

the malaysian media is making use of their outreach to make someone the bad guy doing "bad activities detrimental to the sovereignty of Malaysia" so that they'll seem like the heroes.
