Hi Csers,

Request your critique on the below

1. in what area is critique to be sought?
- Exposure, Lighting, skin tone and composition in general

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
- To get the essence of a farmer and his environment.

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
- During vacation at bali, we approached this farmer at work.

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture?
- think the background got a little messy. May be better background will help?

Hmm he seems abit uncomfortable..maybe cause of the flash..lol anyway u can choose a different position so the buildings behind aren't there.u could also use a cpl filter which will help darken n make the sky bluer..lighting is fine.u can also de saturate the colors so it looks more olden days..our even covert to black n white or just selective colors.

as what that guy above me said. u need gradient filter to make the sky nicer. i think ur angle would be much more dramatic if u do it from slightly behind his shoulder and desaturate it

Would have preferred a less messy background, maybe one that shows the entire field he's working at, a more shallow depth of field to isolate subject, and one that he doesn't really pose, but rather in action.
