I like the overall composition but somehow I think the fork kinda spoilt them. Instead of enhancing the pics, the forks are taking attention away.

Pic 1: I think it is OOF with the focusing on the fork's handle, also the fork look out of place but that my view.

Pic 2: I would get rid of the fork and lower my camera angle to get more of the stuffing.

The fork killed both shots, as well as the flat lighting in the second.

The potatoes looked nice though.
