unfortunately the ones I know are married.....you'll have to do some hunting....hang out with the touch rugby folk

....actually looked at the selection criteria.....unless you're under 18 and not eligible for a VISA.....why not?

bad excuses.....ya don't want to take yrself out of yr comfort zone.....

if you think you can make the area attractive for tourist by writing a creative blog and showing the area in the most positive light - yr looks will be a less of an issue....

....and if ya tink yr round tummi an issue - do something abt it (mum talking!)

Nothing to lose - everything to gain!!!

sometimes its only paper value....and anyway the little people are the ones keeping the whole machinery going.....so ride it out and hope for the best.....or be properly screwed as with the UK councils!!!

Lunar calendar is based on the movement of the moon.. so does it mean every ox year there will be some eclipse and every ox year there will be some bad signs? so why worry?

It's always about paper value in one form or another....in cluding currency. We are always riding it out like it or not in any case. Notice something too ...that bad economic times last a long time but the good ones are very very very very short. We only just got out of one not too long and only start to see some light and then this come again. You have to wonder what are the new factors in play these days and will this be the thing of the future. One where all the ones in power will come in and suck everything so fast into their pocker that they shell-shock the economy and it collaspe...... till the next time it heals up and picks up and it starts all over again.

There was this research done I read that showed in 1985 for every worker who makes US$1.00, the top richest person makes US$35(Thirty something) In 2008 they say for every US$1.00 made by a worker, the richest take away US$450.00. That is the capital gap and it is growing wider. And money going up there, are not allowed to come back down. So it is hard persuade the general population to circulate the money and distribute the wealth when there is not enough of it to go around.

Paper gets eaten by moths and turns to dust. So instead sit on gold bullions. Tort Sg has good gold reserves.

Totally agree so how about making 2009 the year of downsizing and sustainability. In Europe there is a small movement towards community and sustainability.
- grow yr own crops (beans are really easy to grow and SG environment is wild!)
- barter skills
- install an energy generator (solar/wind)
- reuse what we have
- use organisations like freecycle to get things we need

There is no point in worrying about spending what we don't have but we can make it more interesting for ourselves if we'd like the challenge. Always better to be light in looming depression......hmm wasn't Russia unaffected by the 1930s depression?

nah 2012 there is suppose to be a line up of the planets....end of the world and all that stuff....
