Architectural + Cityscape Photography #4
Howdy folks!! A request from a participant from Architectural + Cityscape Photography #3 gave rise to this proposition for #4. We will be exploring architectural design + details in and around the city area! You will be spending most of the time walking around, studying buildings and structures and developing methods of shooting them. More importantly, you will also explore the role of ambient lighting in the process of designing the composition of your photos.
We will meet up at main lobby of the Esplanade at 10 00hrs on 29/5/2010 and start studying the roof structure of the building and move on to other parts of the city.
Please do take note that as the ambient lighting plays a very critical role to this exercise, results may vary or worse, end up with nothing. That's part and parcel of it.
Good to have items.....
A medium telephoto lens which can cover various focal lengths from 35mm to 135mm would be very useful for those compressed compositions. Don't worry if you don't have the necessary equipment, we can figure out something for you there and then. Rhose with equipment other than a 35 format DSLR are more than welcomed to join us too. Chris, would love to see you do this with a 4x5 :bsmilie:
If all turn out well, you'd be shooting in very bright condition so you can leave that tripod at home for this time. Mind you, just this time!
Attached a few examples of what you could be expecting.
Add your names to the list if you're interested. See ya!!!
