As recommended in http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=654427, I got a Kaiser adapter. It fits my SB-600 very well. Very secure.

Now, the problem is the cable for input to my skyport receiver. I went to 2 shops where they suggested cutting off the top, soldered it with the mono-jack. I am not too sure if it will be lasting. What is your experience? Care to share where to make, how much and the result?

I found the other method on the internet. I preferred this. http://paulophotoblog.blogspot.com/2008/08/kaiser-hot-shoe-mod-for-skyports-or.html. Anyone tried this @ any shops?

Thanks!!!

already shown you the link where you can just buy it, it is perfect fit and don't need to mod, and not very expensive if you buy a few other items including shipping.

this is stupid, the elinchrom connector is the most expensive and hard to find part, can't imagine someone will want to waste it.

anyway this item I paid US$24.50, got it from FlashZebra.com

I also bought two other items, the total shipping is only US$6.00

Master Ben,

I do all of my own. Waaay better and longer lasting than even the ridiculously expensive Pocket Wizard cables and adapters. Even got gold plated jacks! Plus another one I bypass simik PW adapters and have my Metz cables directly modified to fit the skyport receiver. :bsmilie:

TS, I can do for you if you like. Sent you a PM.

P.S. Ben, if you need, I can do for you also.

Thanks for the offer, if there is commercially available and not too expensive, I prefer to buy. may not worth the time and effort to DIY if just save a little.

anyway, these are the other two little items I bought..

No worries. I usually set aside some time to do maintenance/repairs. Next on my list - change a few wall sockets. :bsmilie:

Currently, I don't have a paypal or credit card. This is one of the reasons why I am not ordering it. But if everything still dun work out, I think I may consider applying a PayPal account and order one FlashZebra adpater for myself :)

BTW, I don't think I will use elinchrom connector, but I will get a separate mono jack. However, I like the guy's method of soldering the wires inside the adapter.

Anyway, thanks for replying. The cost is helpful information :)
