I noted down the serial number in my mobile phone... all I can offer is to be on a look-out for this serial number and notify you. I know how you must feel... it is an expensive lens.

Well, if only cash converter can offer him at least a couple of hundreds in order for him/her to sell it. If not no point lar. Those lenses there are just for display only. Couldn't be use at all (frankly speaking).
Anyway, if that person is into this hobby that took your precious... I think you can forget about that already. Unless, someone is a Nikon user that happens to tell his/her friend that he/she got this prime lens recently. Just take a look at the serial number will do.

PS: All best hope to you in finding this lens bro.:)

Uppz. Here's wishing your lens the best in its journey back to you.

If you have home and contents insurance, there may be a clause/rider allowing you to claim for loss of items brought outside the home.

Have you filed a police report yet?

yup made already. thanks for the note on insurance. i'll check on that.

Thanks guys.

how did u lose it?

Would you consider informing the Nikon Service Center?

That is one place where the lens might end up (not that it was defective, I'm sure) and it's easy to check serlal numbers.
