Any versatile DVD player(s) to recommend?

Get those Enzer DVD player will do. Code 1 from USA also can play, esp those special type. Cost from $80 + to $150 the most.

does the anzer or shinco dvd players play region 2? anyone knoes?

Enzer E5468 plays all region discs.... not region locked. CDR/CDRW DVDR+- DVDRW JPEGS etc.

costs SGD 88. this is the cheapest one I found...
there is one at SGD 65, but is locked at region 3.
Sim Lim Sq, 1st floor, aiyoooo forgot the store name.... I think there's a big Panasonic Sign above it, its in a corner, rather odd shaped store. sells mostly/only audio stuff.
I think Challenger also sells it.
I bought this for my kids, since they destroyed my 1k++ philips...

well, i have a pioneer player in my moms house, and i like the pioneer better. in order of preference its pioneer tops, philips, and finally enzer. i havent calibrated my tv at all, its just been adjusting the colour to what i think is the best.
for me the enzer is the work horse player, may not be pretty, may not perform extremely well, but performs when the going gets tough (kids using it).

I wanted to add that if ever the Enzer fails, I just buy a new one. When the Philips broke, it cost me SGD350 to fix it... I could have bought 3 Enzers!!!!
