In some threads here, a link was provided for a free software that can do the photo processing. Any body knows the link or has any recommendation of this kind of software. Thanks.

The gimp comes to mind (http://www.gimp.org). For batch/scripted processing, ImageMagick is a good choice.
 

I agree :) I've got Picasa2 is free, easy and fast.

And no, I don't work for google :p
 

picasa can view raw files...dont know abt the rest
 

RAW to jpeg conversion: Pixmantec Rawshooter Essential. Very good software and its for free

The reference software on which most other programs (including the expensive "big name" software) are based is the free dcraw (http://www.cybercom.net/~dcoffin/dcraw/). There are dcraw plugins available for several image processing/editing applications.
