meat were a little thinly sliced, but gravy was as good as ever. expensive though, at $34 for 4 persons, w rice, sambal kangkong, drinks and tofu.. and had to park at private estate nearby cuz carpark jammed packed!

Another superb hokkien mee.. Super yummilicious ... Alto just a tiny little bit less flavourful than neighbouring Ah Hock, it has nice fried lard pieces n a piquant sambal, prawns were fresh too...

Certainly one of the best around !

One of my fav hokkien mee stall in chomp chomp!! Always asked for extra unhealthy pork lard lol

The Bukit Timah Market carrot cake looks yummy too!! You made me crave for some hokkien mee & carrot cake now lol

Saw a sign outside a coffeeshop in Toa Payoh Central (opposite Pizza Hut n Saizeraya), n went in to get one...



this was simply fantastic...first, crust had a buttery fragrance...



every bite was rewarded by the creamy savoury spicy fillings... too...



absolutely superb..

their perfectly caramelized char siew never fail to impress, and their dumplings were packed full of water chestnut, shrimp n meat.

It's actually quite ok, not that dry, as it's coated w some fragrant oil. The ajitama (egg) was quite wonderful, while the charsiew was quite tender. Quite interesting ...
