yah.. how to take is the crux... i don't believe it was taken in mere 13minutes...

With a proper panoramic head, etc, it might just be possible. 196 shots in 13 minutes come up to just about 4s per shot. Exposure, etc obviously should have already been predetermined. And don't forget it's not his first major stitch, he has a 725 megapixel one previously, so obviously he has become very experienced in this sort of thing.
