Doesn't seem to be much diff. Though your graph paper shifted and it makes the results unreliable...

graph paper doesn't help in anyway. Lens barrel or anyother distortion is not going to be changed by the fact that the UV filter got shifted 3mm closer to the lens. if it does, then it's time to throw the filter away and get another.
White paper you can see any vignetting or any discoloration etc. It's much better. The 3mm difference won't affect the focusing ability or anything, HOWEVER it MAY affect the amount of light reaching the lens. If insufficient light, you can see the darkening edges etc. Just need to see if equivilant for both cameras.
I suggest you repeat it with white piece of A4 paper. take at 1X is enough to see the diff i think. maybe 12X too. Maybe just aperture 2.8/3.3 and 8.0
