when i first attached a batt grip to my 450D, i opted for a Matin strap and it felt well-sized and tight.

now when i tie the same strap to my 7D+grip, its size and weight makes it feel thin and understrength. Now i know it will hold, but the feel is not snug. i probably need a thicker, broader strap.

besides the Canon E1 are there other brands/models that provide good alternatives?:hung:

The Matin M-7370 is still my favorite on 5d and 7d, and other cameras ... it actually secures the grip to the wrist, resulting in a comfortable and steady grip.

I have the Herringbone, etc. very thick leather, but the Matin still has the best design, IMHO.

hey you're right. i forgot that besides the two-point straps, there are three-point straps that offer a more secure fitting.

found a Matin three-pointer and it feels better with the 7D. thanks.

do they sell this strap in singapore?

i presume it can be use in 550D + battery grip right?

of course, all can. but you have to try it to have a tactile feel how well it fits to the camera body. Not all hand straps give the same feel and fit.

But the limitatation is not suitable for portrait style
