Why is it that AIS lens have this metal thing near the Aperture dials towards the mount? what is it used for and purpose? :dunno:

are you referring to the 'rabbit ears' on the aperture ring?

Thanks, I was just there early this morning, couldn't find what I wanted to know... will re-read it again.

I wonder who is the guy maintaining this site? he must have alot of knowledge and experience, there are alot of old stuff and even manuals in pdf. I had downloaded from this site several months ago a manual of my old Canon AE1 camera.
