im sorry, but what is soft proof? and how to go about doing it?
Soft proofing is a way to check colours on screen before printing. What the soft proof does is to stimulate how the colors will look like on certain machine and paper. If you are using a PC, press CTRL+Y or go to VIEW, PROOF SETUP, CUSTOM, then select the type of printer you are using. If you don't know what you doing, then don't bother because it will be confusing.
