Hey guys,

I'm a JC student shooting film.
Just wondering what are the cheapest ways to buy film - is online much cheaper?
Or which places are cheap here?

Also for developing, what are the cheapest places?
If I develop on my own, would it cost a lot? (considering I need to scan too)

Hope you can give me tips, thanks so much!

Hello,

Welcome to film photography! I was like you afew years ago,
Given the current film availability Locally you can try Ruby photo or Konota or Triple D
Other than that usually you can grab films from B&H or Freestylephoto or amazon japan,
Cheaper depending on if you're getting negatives or slides. Unless you're shipping in bulk you should just get them locally.

It is alot cheaper to develop B&W films yourself! Chemicals can be obtained from Ruby photo
If you;re looking for cheap B&W films you can look at OEM films like arista or kentmere, or get tri x or fp4+ bulk rolls tho you need a loader to do that

There's an exhibition going on that you can check out https://www.facebook.com/darkslidephotoclub/?fref=ts
Head down and chat with one of us!

+1 for bulk roll BW film and self develop
