AF 24-85mm f/2.8-4D IF

In my opinion ( and several others too ), the 24-85 afs G f/3.3.-4.5 is THE version to get.
It is rare to come by though..

However, on DX camera you get the 1.5x crop factor so the lens may not be "wide" enough.

I own tis lens b4. Bot it to replace af28-105 f3.5-4.5d. Cost me arnd s$500 used bak then.
Very sharp lens, love it! Versatile n pretty fast.
However, i sold it to get a f2.8 constant lens.
On looking bk, i shud haf kept tis lens for travel use.
I am also looking at this f3.3-4.5 lens to match with my FX cam. One was available recently on B&S but I was too late. Just got back from Cam X at Peninsula. They have 2 units in 10 conditions (with some dust inside) for sale at $480 each. Shop next door also has one for sale at $520. If you like can check these out. I wanted to get it but decided to wait out as I have one too many lens that need clearing out first This should be the better lens of the two.
