Me not expert, but true, both night shots overexposed. But very nice, though.

This macro shot is from my A40 with Hoya +4 close up filter.

The UV filter thing is debatable. When I was comparing my A40 with my friend's S40, the S40 was better. Then I plugged in my UV filter and all the shots after that were better than the S40.

I cannot say whether the UV filter did the trick or something else. But the filter's cheap $10, so no harm leaving it on for my daytime shots.

The Hoya +4 close-up filter ($16) lets you go closer to the subject. Normally for A40 you need about 16cm or more to focus for macro shot. With the close-up filter, I can go nearer and still get focus.

I haven't had a chance to get many macro shots yet. I'll post them in when I do.

Discounts, donnolah.

Well, I thought the photo came out more or less the way the environment really was. Slightly hazy. Through normal eye-sight, it was kinda blurrish too. It was not a nice clear night. Also the max 3x zoom probably contributed to the noise too.

Maybe have to wait for a nice clear night before I take the shot again.
