Terryw83 in the thread http://forum.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=209229 has done a darn excellent job of analysing the tripod. Kudos to Terry!
My assessment will be very basic.... do excuse me...
Here's my take:
1) It's really a lot cheaper than what you can get elsewhere with the specifications for it... (Call me superficial!!)
2) It's sturdy.... i dunno how to put it... can I say it feels solid... not wobbly
3) The surface of the stand is smooth to touch...
4) I expected it to be quite cumbersome... but nooooo... I was wrong about its weight. It was pleasantly light
5) Errmmm... i must say I haven't had a chance to use all the bits and pieces (the weight hook, spiked feet, removable ballhead , QR foot and plate).... so I can't say much...but they look very well made.
Hope it helps all those who want a simple layman's look.
