Came across someone posting this price list from the past when Minolta AF lenses first came out. You would be surprised at how different the current pricing of these lenses are compared to their original price. The Beercan was a "cheap" lens then. The Minolta 28-85 was even more expensive than the beercan but today, it is only around half the price of the beercan. The 50mm F1.7 is less than half the price of the 35-70mm F4 then but now the latter is selling for only 2/3 of the 50mm prime! The 135mm prime was the same price as the 28mm prime but now is almost double the price of the 28mm!

Times have really changed! :bsmilie:

Price is in USD

basket.. 135mm F2.8 so cheap only :S

Well... After inflation for 26 years plus the rental of the shops, TH price is about right.

28mm f2.8 and 135mm f2.8 was same price...

but now the 135mm is selling much higher...

I think its in US$, izit? In US markets its called Maxxum. Local is Dynax. Didnt know the 7000 started in 1985. I still have my 7000i bought in 1989. Was about $950 then.
