85mm f/1.8 comes with hood and pouch? or not?

Hi guys
I've just bought a 85mm f/1.8 but there is a hood and a pouch in the box (also written on the box). Why is that? I thought only L lens has hood and pouch in the package?
I went to bhphoto to check and there is no hood/pouch included.
what did you guys get in ur packages?

I got in Tokyo, PC bomber shop, cheaper than Map Camera a bit.
paid 43545 Yen for it (around 562 SGD)
I already felt weird when I saw it's writen includes pouch and hood on the box.
just discovered that there is a big spec of thing inside (i don't think it's dust), lucky got 7 day exchange

did u open the box to look?

I do know they print out the hood and the pouch on the box as OPTIONAL accessories you can get for your lens.

If it was provided for your lens, excellent!

This seems like a good sign, Canon really needs to step up their game and provide a hood + pouch for non-L lenses

the lens is returned to the shop as there is a big spec of dust inside
i'm collecting the new exchanged set tmr
will post picture tmr if the new set i get still come with hood

i'm not so lucky in the end
the last 85mm f/1.8 still got same problem, very obvious with naked eyes
(wondering what happen to Canon QC) so they gave me a refund :cry:
however, the box did stated
"With lens case xxxxx and lens hood yyyy"
I've taken a look at other non L stocks that they have on the shelf. And i noted that:
1/ 50mm f/1.4 new packaging also has case and hood
2/ same for 35mm f/2, efs 60mm f/2.8
3/ efs 10-22mm now come with case, no hood
4/ 17-85is, 70-300is, nothing extra
I believe this is Canon new packaging, maybe now it's only in Japan but i guess it will come to Singapore once the stock got replaced. So if u guys buying non L, may take an extra look.
