70-200L IS Vs non IS

any difference in optical quality between the 2? Assuming IS is switched off all the time.

neglible. unless you enjoy putting lenses to some quirky lens tests that the human eye can't notice

Not sure abt quality, but the AF is faster on IS model if the IS is off.

IS version focus closer as well I think.
