Is a chinese newspaper report, dunno true or not, anyone observed this price drop in japan?

Well, it makes sense as the next crop of 8MP (e.g. A2, F828, C8080 etc) & 6MP (e.g. Exilim Pro, KM G600) digicams are available/are announced.

Digicams are being rolled out like PCs -- once the next faster chip comes out, the existing ones get bumped down in price.

Well no complaints as consumers get better cameras at better prices. : )
