50mm prime

Had a short stint with my friends' 50mm which he said didn't give him the result he needed. Tried it on my dslr...here's the results

The 50mm prime lens is really good for shallow DoF effect and it's bright. The challenge in shooting videos with a DSLR is maintaining focus. I see that you have that difficulty too when the subject was moving towards or away from the camera.

Hey, is your video sharp when viewed on a HD TV? What camera are you using?

Sharpness can vary to certain degrees. Well...I would say that it's only decent on HD TV. I'm using 60D. Thinking of upgrading to the 5DIII tho =]
