i just used picasa 3, it software is freeware.
very easly to used.
just go for download.

Oh, so it's a separate software from PS (photoshop)?

if this 50mm f/1.8, just try to used F8 for sharpen.
for me is called wasted to buy the lens & useless.
after shooting and used CS3 or lightroom and retouch only.
haha.

but i will recommeded to using picasa fast and good result.
it's free.

after installation for Picasa sure your photo will be sharpen and does not worry about using 50mm 1.8 again.
it's increase for your sharpen.

i use this lens mostly for low light, i enjoy shooting in shopping mall (get so much warning from the security and shop owner)….
So that my gf can do her shopping and I can still do my shooting…

anyway, f1.8 most of the time and when is daytime and outside… f2.8… I not really a sharpness kind of person….

I need at least F3.2 and onward to get a good sharp photo, F4 is very sharp, couple of challenges: 1. AF is always not prefer for my DSLR camera, 2. I mainly use the 50mm to take object within 2.5 meters, so the DOF will be short and easily out of focus, 3. my object is always moving, 4. 100% no flash, only natural lighing in door. 5. ISO at max is 400, prefer 100 or 200 if allowed, I think if you allow to flash and longer distance to your object, the F2.8 or even F2 should be sharp.
