17" or bigger Windows laptop

I have read of the Sony 18.4" for less than US$1,500 or the HP 20" laptops etc for a little over US$1500 on Amazon. Yet I am unable to find anything even close to that here in Sigapore. Perhaps I aam looking in the wrong places? any suggestions for a 17" or bigger WINDOWS laptop at a decent price? thanks
