17 July From King Albert to Bukit Timah Railway station & the Railway bridge.

I had fun too.
And my legs hurt! Haha!
Ended up walking to Bukit Merah before we got lazy. XD

Hi All!

Wei Teck - Thank you for starting this thread and for organizing the event yesterday.
I am still not sure how many darn kilo meters I walked, but I guess its close to 10 kms starting from the Bkt Timah station to Queenstown.

These are my pics of the day:

This walk really transported me back to some natural wonderland and I really hope the "The Green Corridor" project becomes successful.
Singapore already has enough money, and for sure doesn't need to sell these lands for development. Better to reclaim from sea if we need more land for use :).

Thanx u guys for making Sunday’s trek such an enjoyable one.
For future event I must prepare maps for members. I am sorry to lost a couple of ppl in the crowd.

*Having problem uploading Our Group Photo vis my Photobucket account. Will try to do so this wk end.

Some of us toy with the idea of forming a small interest group, and have monthly event (we could go join other’s ppl’s event together). Would be a good support network.

I PM out some idea for Aug or future, pls give my ur feekback and choice. We see how we can work things out.
Will start a thread once we settle on an event/Date & time. Maybe Canonmono can be the lead for Aug Street photgraphy.
good to make frenz and network. Think we need routed map for event which we be highly mobile

I agree with u, and i think this site will interest u:

Singapore is rich, but U think Gov will mind extra money in the bank account...

shd be Np provided I have no duty or i cha MC on that day ^^ then shd be after national day becos most will be flocking down to shoot firework ..

think i was too long winded via PM
think Canon Mono should lead for Aug since u intitaled the street photgraphy. we just need plans for discusiions...sorry i sent out the PM b4 reading CanonMono msg in thread last nite.

I am serious about forming "core" group of 6~12 ppl, then take turn to organise events monthly,
so yearly each "core member" will run only one or two event(s). hence not taxing on the members.
We shoukd still have thread to get new ppl, since ppl come & go, and to ensure renewal of "core members"

We should have a group with no "De Facto" leader, but a group with member which take turn to plan.
i had too much experience with CS's event thread which the organiser "fly pigeons" (no show)...
or thread that when i ask questions, told me to go "Google"...

We should form a group. what do u think?

ya small is good but big is a bonus ( refer to groups ) .. will plan after checking my work plan for next month .. =) Let the wonders of photo tells a million word ..

Was lovely to see lot of Dragonflies during the trek. They are in Red, I think might be their mating season.
