not under warranty, can come to abt $300 to $400+. need to call emjay to get a quote.

And yeah - doesn't work/works very intermittently. My 16-50 was from an extremely early batch.

I just got back my DA*16-50. It died 2 weeks after purchase. Imagine that.

Regardless, sent it back to the shop and waited two weeks before they sent it back to me. It's free, and in the invoice it states that they changed the AF motor. Let's see how long it lasts this time round.
