Any comments on this lens Nikkor AF 80-400 F4.5-5.6? Thinking of getting a 70-200 F2.8 however to get over to 400mm I would need a teleconverter which end up making the lens F5.6 which is about the same as 80-400. Please comment about handling and picture quality of this lens. Thanks.

My Digi-Cab dial hydrometer was indicating about 70% Humidity. However my digital hydrometer from Muji indicate 35%. Not sure which one is more accurate. Any other way to calibrate the system?

The built in flash don't work with 17-55 at the 17mm range. It will cast a shadow on the lower part of your picture.

With 1.5 Frame crop you don't get more zoom. It is still the same zoom with the same focal length.

You might be able to reverse the screw on the tripod. Else can buy a screw adapter

Just read from the web. For Ni-MH rechargeable battery they will discharge overtime. Therefore no point fully charged them before storing. For Li-ion battery it is bettery to have them 80% charged before storing to prolong their life span. Full charged and store Li-ion battery is actually...

Send in the lens for service without telling them anything. Just got cleaning and everything else is fine. Phew..... Seem like I got lucky this time round.

Get both flashes. SB800 & SB600. Use one as spare ;)

I am using the battery grip. I remove the AH-4 plates and use a markin PG-32 plate and works quite well. Might want to try it.

Accidently kick my D200 with 17-55 F2.8 from a height of about 0.7m and travelled a distance of about 0.2m. Picked it up and start shooting again. Nothing seem to be damage except some scratches on the side of the Filter. Wondering what else to check after such drop. :sweat:

Is there any news on the new Nikon Camera? Would like to know and see if it is worth my while to save up for it or go on a long trip.

Is your photo in focus? Guess the camera might sense it out of focus and cannot take a shots.
