i seriously do not see the point of posting such a ridiculous amount of pictures. what are you seeking to achieve with these kind of shots?

CLA is clean, lubricate, adjust. usual term for camera maintenance. if you want them to lubricate the SWM they can, but whether it'll work is a different thing altogether.

handling of the camera is very impt to me. even if the camera has a million functions but handling and interface is clunky, it's a major barrier to shooting. e.g. for me, i can't live with just one control dial. just feels wrong to me. end of the day, specs not really very impt. camera specs go...

the problem for everyone is that when you send it for servicing, you want it to return to you working perfectly. so if there's a problem such as this, instead of CLA which may work, they replace the entire SWM which will definitely work. result is that price is high but results are guaranteed...

it's those screw lock right? you can unscrew all the way, remove the entie leg then give it a good clean to remove the sand. that's if you want to DIY. if not, drop by his shop.
