mmm... ok. Maybe i got it wrong? for how long does a flash last? what's the duration of a flash, i.e. for how long is the lamp lighted? do i need to keep the camera shutter opened during that time for me to get a good shot? or do i need to open the shutter longer than the flash duration...

thx, will try! I heard the flash time is around 1/800s. and that the sync time is 1/60s. Got the same advice somewhere else. will need to play with it more.

Hi all! I've tried to play a bit with my new SB600. However, haven't succeeded in triggering the flash with my built-in flash. And from what am reading from the manual, there doesn't seem to be such possibility. Espn, u mentioned in another thread, "...set the SB600 to slave mode". is...

Erm... correct me if am wrong, but i heard the D50 doesn't have any commander mode... don't u need the commander mode for the SB-600 to act as slave? am really new to external flashes and haven't got any to play with. just trying to collect as much info before i do the big jump... plz bear...

what's so special about the r1c1??? yeah, top up, can get Sb-800! thought it would have been much more affordable. for example, could get the su-800 + sb-600 in place of the sb-800! oh well... too bad then!
