Just curious are you saying that XDCAM and Canon H264 gives you the same results? I have not tried Canon H264 but with H.264 files, it is a pain even to create a clean matte. XDCAM is a little better from my experience. I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

Dear briansio, I have no clue to what you are try to correct, 24p is only the frame rate, to get 'film' look it is the way you light and shoot. If you are talking about TV ... 23.976 is defintely not a acceptable format. "Oceania or Asian movie production is 25p" ... that depends on the movie...

Higher end video camcorders have 3 x C-mos and the lens is much wider in diameter. When you deal with Video, look beyond the size 1920 x 1080 is only the size. Just like photography Jpeg and Raw produces image of the same size, but the file sizes are very different.

I'm wondering how 24p gives you a 'film' look. and NTSC is 59.94i or 29.97 not 23.976.

I have bad experiences with RAM of a different brand. I will suggest go for brand new same batch of RAM.

I have not tried with blood, but with ink, spray the wall with dulling spray and make sure you have the downward path covered. After the shoot, mop up the stain first using cloth, then clean with damp cloth to get rid of the dulling spray.

that is with FCP, anything that is not native .mov requires conversion there is no 2 ways to that.

Have you tried google for the workflow, I have not use it so I'll not comment, but I do know that the conversion is the next best thing, that is if you have to use FCP. http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/162/867636 shows you why not.

If you use a mac the powerpoint will be able to convert to video.

Work flow is a lot better when compared to DR-60. When I shoot on DR-60, I have to bring it back and transfer it to FCP. I tried transferring in the field to another harddisk for a test ... FCP has a problem with that. With the MRC-1 ... your limit is your pocket to get more cards. I have so...

DR60 is old technology ... it adds a lot of weight to you camera and throw the CG off. if the budget is not issue go for HVR-MRC1. As for testing, if HVR-MRC1 works so will DR60.
