Hi Minolta fans. We've just finished a sustainable transport website for the Youth Hostels Association (England & Wales). Quality of the photos is inconsistent but we had to use what was available. The better ones we shot on Minolta gear :) Most of the content was written by my wife...

I bought my aftermarket batteries from the 7DayShop for £9.99 each. They're fine and they last longer than the original KM battery. :)

Magnus, This is sad. My 9000 and D9 have always "bounced". Your unfortunate incident is sobering news for us all. At least it wasn't a Canon equivalent, as I guess the same force would have rendered it a throw-away. ;) I hope the Minolta hospital fixes it soon!

You get what you pay for. The 20D is a plastic fantastic and this new addition is, no doubt worse in terms of body build. There's always going to be these types of releases aimed at market shifts. I'm happy with my D7D and no amount of Canon price pointing is going to change that. Now...

A great lens to buy 2nd hand for your D7D, as it gives you the equivalent of about 200mm 2.8. A nice prime, if you can find a good one. :thumbsup:

Sorry to hear about this. :( I've not had anything as severe happen, but imagine if you were on an important job such as a PR shoot or a wedding. The worst crash I've had with my D7 was I had one file corrupt after shooting continuously. The answer may be as simple as taking the time...

Magnus, I paid the price of a few beers for this lens in E++ condition. Maybe it won't rock my world, but it will be useful for my wife who's a photographer too, so I guess I'll keep it and see. SSM's, I can only dream about today :) Very best, Pete
