I believe leaf shutter is part of the lens assembly. The X100S has the same lens as the X100, so should still uses leaf shutter.

I have owned both cameras and for me, what I like about RX100: resolves details better, has lesser noise & grain at high ISO and more compact. Everything else I prefer X10. One is not better than the other. Better is subjective, so it really depends on what you are looking for in a camera.

No problem. The first thing I noticed with his photos was the minimal distortion, though I don't know if the photos had been corrected in post or straight out of camera.

That is my major gripe with Fuji's X-series cameras design. It is just very, very awkward to activate AF point selection, especially when using VF. This also throws off the balance of the camera when using left hand to reach for the button instead of supporting lens/camera. Really wish Fuji...
