    High ISO and F30 movie mode

    More visible video maybe, but we're never be sure unless someone does a comparison between videos produced by F30 and videos produced by other camera.

    :: F30 should be out now !! ::

    Don't think a guy buying a F30 will be carrying a light meter. Which means that the camera should first have a live histogram before the M mode is really useful. If the wish is to lock the exposure, an AE-L button will be good enough--but that's another button that a novice is bound to...

    :: F30 should be out now !! ::

    Uhh... Maybe because "Night Scene" mode is meant for novices and too many manual options in this mode will only confuse novices? There is a shutter priority mode for those who like to set shutter speed, with the camera determining the aperture.

    Don't look down on a P&S

    It struck a chord with many snappers who have been put down by equipment and film snobs. The fact that the photographs are taken with a digital compact by a Magnum photographer ought to shut some of these people up. But the camera type plays a very small part in this series of photographs...

    An Analog Renaissance..

    Despite tough competition and a crowded market, Nikon managed to grab TIPA's 2005 award for Best DIGITAL compact camera. That means TIPA still see NIKON as a major player, since most of their awards are usually distributed amongst the major players. Success in the digital market is important...

    What brand of tripod do you use?

    Anyone knows where can I find the Velbon Chaser EFL-4 in Singapore? I'm thinking of getting either this or the Slik Sprint Pro as a travel tripod.

    Did Neji and Choji survive?

    Nothing is slower than Yoshihiro Togashi's manga. I'm starving for the next installment of Hunter X Hunter. This man's a genius, but a perfectionist that results in very slow output. He's the only manga artist I know who is so late in his submission that Shonen Jump has to publish his...

    Where got sell paddings for bag?

    You may wish to spend a little more and get a decent messenger bag to go with the inserts. I use a patagonia "critical half mass" bag bought at camper's corner at Capital, plus inserts salvaged from a Safrotto. The resulting bag looks okay, is lighter than crumpler but is as durable. It's...

    no post processing. possible?

    There is a lot of of processing involved before the slides or prints arrived in the hands of film users such that the questions posed are meaningless. If the developed image is as desired, further image manipulation is not needed. Otherwise, you can choose to throw the photograph away or...

    Apple (Lao Niang)

    I find the blog more interesting than the photographs. Shits happen especially when you're overworked. Take Lily Tomlin's advice: "For fast-acting relief, try slowing down."

    Are these shot in RAW or jpeg?

    Stopped by the police

    You're lucky. The guy's probably new and overstepped his boundary. What he should do (and many of his colleagues had done), is to photograph/videotape you and your vehicle licence plate (if any) quietly and send for the Police. :sweat:

    comments?

    Less is more. I'll crop out the left half of the picture and focus on the clock tower. Pity the clock face is over-exposed such that the digital camera cannot capture any details. Next time, you may want to meter from the clock face to retain some details. Doing this may make the rest of the...

    how long would u keep ur film slr

    Digital equipment may marginalise film equipment--like what Leica's 35mm format did to the other film format, or what the Japanese SLRs did to Leica's rangefinders. But in most cases, the original equipments retains their sizeaable niches and will NOT be wiped out. I'm keeping my film SLR...

    Last photo is nicest but legs posed makes them look thick to me. Any expert know how to help with that?
