Well, unless you wanna lug your tripod where ever you go.. I would recommend a VC. The VC function does help to a certain extent in low light conditions where your shutter speed is lower (since you're doing Night shooting)

:thumbsup: I second this. TS's both cameras are DX bodies, there will be crop factor taken into consideration. I find the 17mm wide enough for group shots, with additional zoom for the occasional close ups. End of the day, alot depends on what TS wants to shoot. e.g: No point getting...

Very good IQ for portraits. Not very sure abt macro though, as I seldom shoot macro. The normal day to day macro shots are fine... but if you wanna go into insect macro or serious stuff, get the 105mm.:thumbsup:

very nice series.. I personally prefer wedding pics to be well lit, as it portrays happiness. Yours are not over done. Mind sharing the lens and apertures used for the pics?
