The price in Bangkok is a little cheaper. Just bought my D800E for Thai Baht 107,000 which is approx S$4345 and a 50mm 1.4G for S$640.

Never thought of upgrading the d300 to the D7000 as I love the heavy body and feel of the d300. The D7000 looks too dinky. What differences did you notice between the 2? The AF-S 85mm f/1.4G is just an incredible lens. Beautiful bokeh and fantastic portrait lens. The new 85mm is made in China...

Yes I agree, however the f1.4G gives much better bokeh.

Thanks for all the advice. Never handled a D7000. The D300 is my first and only camera. Still happy with it so will stick with it. Money is not an issue to upgrade and would like (at some point) to upgrade to full frame camera.
