Sorry, I'm a little confused. Why would you even want to use the sk6 if you are going to mount a flash on your camera hotshoe? Might as well use the sb800 on camera to trigger off a second flash mounted on a cheapo horizontal bracket? P.S. I'm not very familar with advanced flash setups. I...

sb600 cannot be attached to the sk6, it does not have the front port thing, whatever you call it, like the sb800. the sk6 takes 4 AA batteries.

As far as I can tell, no. I have more problems with wind/breeze/kay poh people but that's another story :p Removing the center column also allows the tripod to go all the way down to ground level. Yes, mine is a manfrotto, cannot remember model number.

I use the 055 MF, center column removed, with a Feisol ballhead(looks like a Arca Swiss knock-off). Very light and handy combo. Being a lazy *******, I just have to pay the extra $$ for weight savings. I also have a manfrotto pan and tilt with focusing rail attached. :p

Slightly OT: These days I usually tell people that yah, my camera/tripod/lense sucks yours is much better and move on. I really find it quite difficult to understand why people, even strangers, feel the need to give unsolicited comments on equipment. ;p

The flash unit already had a diffuser attached, perhaps I should have tried compensation. It was rather dark so I just left it as it was. The bug was upside down underneath the leaf. (so you can imagine what I looked like trying to take the shot). :bsmilie:

Slim pickings today. Barely started shooting before it suddenly turned dark and windy. Then after I reached home, weather became sunny again. :angry:

I'm not entirely sure myself. Somehow ended up under-exposed.
